In aceasta dupa-amiaza, au fost anuntate nominalizarile pentru premiile Oscar, a caror decernare este programata pentru 24 februarie, la Los Angeles. In Romania, Gala va fi transmisa in direct si in versiune originala (nedublata) de catre HBO. In fruntea listei stau 3 filme, intre care se va da principala lupta pentru premii: No Country for Old Men si There Will Be Blood, ambele cu cate 8 nominalizari, urmate indeaproape de Atonement, cu 7 nominalizari. Celelalte doua filme ce lupta pentru distinctia suprema sint Juno si Michael Clayton.
